How do I apply for the Solar Victoria Rebate?

If you live in Victoria, you may be eligible for the Solar Victoria Solar Rebate. Here's what you need to know:

What is the Solar Victoria Rebate?

Solar Victoria offers a Solar Panel rebate to Victorian residents. Zelora customers living in Victoria and purchasing a Zelora Solar & Battery system may be eligible for this rebate.

When should I apply?

You can apply for the Solar Victoria Rebate after you site assessment. Zelora will upload your quote to Solar Victoria to help trigger the application process.

How do I apply?

Once your site assessment is complete, our team will prepare your quote and upload this to the Solar Victoria portal. Solar Victoria will then send you an email to start your application process. It is important that you wait for this email before starting.

How does the application process work?

Wait for your email from Solar Victoria

When Zelora uploads your quote to Solar Victoria, they will send you a link to begin your application. It is important that you wait for this email before starting the process.

Step 1 - Enter your contact details

Enter your email address and phone number in the portal. A security code will be sent to the mobile number you provided to help verify your details. 

Step 2 - Enter your Zelora quote details

Enter 'Zelora' as your quote retailer, add your quote number and the total quoted amount before any rebates or discounts are applied. 

Review the quote details displayed on the screen

Review and confirm your property address and rebate type. You may also be asked to confirm the rebate amount. If the details are incorrect, the quote has expired or cannot be found, give us a call on 1800 935 672.

Once you have progressed to this page, you have reserved your place in the portal. 

How long do I have to complete the process?

After this step, you will have 14 days to complete your application. If you do not submit your application within 14 days, you will lose your allocated place and will need to restart the application process. 

Step 3 - Confirming your identity and log in details

Solar Victoria utilises Service Victoria to enable this application process.

  • If you are new to Service Victoria: You will need to confirm your identity. Have your identity documents ready to help with this step.

  • If you already have a Service Victoria account: You can log in with your details at this step. If not, you can continue as a guest.

Step 4 - Enter homeowner details

Enter the details of all homeowners. These must be spelled exactly as they appear on your identification documents, or your council rates notice. 

If you have been approved for a Solar Homes Rebate or loan before, the portal will recognise you as an existing customer and you will not need to provide homeowner details again. You will still need to verify your identity with approved documents.

Step 5 - Income verification

  • For new Service Victoria customers: Verify income for each homeowner and complete the eligibility declaration.
  • For existing Service Victoria customers and/or rental providers: You do not need to provide documents to verify your income. Simply tick the check box to declare that your combined annual household income is below $210,000.

Step 6 - Review and submit your application

Review the details carefully on screen. Tick the declaration check boxes and submit your application. 

Step 7 - Application confirmation

When you have submitted your application, you will receive an email from Solar Victoria with next steps. 

Step 8 - Application outcome

Solar Victoria will email you with your pass or fail outcome. The Zelora team will also be notified of your outcome. 

If you pass: Zelora will send you an email with a link to accept your quote and proceed to book an installation.

If you fail: Our team will adjust your quote to remove the Solar Victoria rebate and send the updated quote for you to accept and proceed to book in your installation.
