Australia-wide Incentives

Cheaper Home Batteries Program

The Federal Government’s Cheaper Home Batteries Program launched on 1 July, offering a rebate discount on battery installations. 

This rebate reduces twice a year until 2030, meaning you'll get a smaller discount the longer you wait to install your battery. 

Who's eligible?

This rebate discount is available for a new home battery if purchased for a home with new or existing solar panels. The level of discount is based on the solar battery’s usable capacity.

Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC) Discount

Eligible subscriptions receive monthly discounts based on your location and system size.

Battery Only:

  • $10–$15 (NSW)

Properties valued under $2.5 million at the time of subscription.

How it works:

Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES)

This federal scheme provides Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) that reduce the upfront cost of installing solar.

Who’s eligible?

Australian residents and businesses installing solar systems up to 100kW.

How it works:

We calculate your STCs based on your location and system size, then apply the full value as a discount to your quote.

Victoria

Solar Rebate & Loan

A rebate of up to $1,400 for solar panel installation is available in limited numbers. Interest-free loans up to $1,400 are also available for outright Home Energy System. Find out more on the Solar Victoria website.

Who is eligible?

To be eligible for a solar panel (PV) rebate in Victoria, you must:

  1. Be an owner-occupier of the property

  2. Household taxable income is less than $210,000 per year

  3. Property is valued under $3 million

  4. The property can’t have received a solar battery rebate before and also not had solar installed in the last 10 years.

  5. If you've moved and received a rebate before, you can apply again for your new property if it hasn't previously received these rebates.
