What is the difference in backup capability between these systems?

The Sigenergy SigenStor offers full home backup via a separate Energy Gateway unit. The Anker SOLIX X1 only offers partial home back up as part of the battery unit.

Can these battery systems be expanded over time?

Both battery systems are modular and can be expanded over time.

Which battery systems are suitable for outdoor or coastal installation?

Both the Anker SOLIX X1 and Sigenergy SigenStor batteries carry IP66 ratings and are suitable for outdoor install. The Anker SOLIX X1 also specifies a C5-M corrosion class rating and can be installed within 300m of the Australian coastline.

Do these battery systems support EV charging?

The Sigenergy SigenStor has the option of an integrated EV DC charger as part of its 5-in-1 battery stack. It is also V2H (vehicle-to-home) and V2G (vehicle-to-grid) future-ready. 

The Anker SOLIX X1 can integrate with an EV charger if you choose the AC Coupled battery option.
